Best dash cams: front, dual and multi-channel

How many cameras you need, and which 70mai or DDPAI model in our catalog fits — from official specs.

We earn a commission when you buy through our links to partner stores. It doesn't change your price. SAR prices are approximate (1 USD = 3.75 SAR). The final price is the one on the seller's page. How this works

A dash cam's job is clear video of what happened. Front-only is enough for many drivers; dual front+rear covers parking scrapes from behind; three or four channels add the cabin or side views. We compared the dash cams on Volt Aisle using each brand's resolution, field of view, Wi-Fi, GPS and power type. We do not road-test cameras.

How we chose

We compared channel count, front/rear resolution, HDR, Wi-Fi generation, GPS and whether the unit uses a supercapacitor (better for hot cars than a battery) from 70mai and DDPAI official pages. Also in our catalog: DDPAI Z60 Pro (4K front with Sony STARVIS 2, optional rear kit) if you mainly want a strong single forward camera.

Questions

Do I need parking mode?
Only if you want recording while the car is off. All four models list 24-hour parking modes, and the dual/multi kits note that a hardwire kit is required. Without it you still get driving footage.
Supercapacitor or battery?
70mai T800E, F800 and DDPAI N5 use a supercapacitor. Brands pitch that as more heat-tolerant in a parked car than a built-in lithium cell. Check the product page Power line before you buy.
